Poster Party Favorites
The next time you’re in the market for a party favor for that special party or business get-together, consider creating the ultimate forget-me-not--a "Party Poster Favor." It’s one of the simplest things you can do to ensure fond recollections, instill a sense of camaraderie among the guests (no matter how diverse their backgrounds), and spread good cheer.
Start the party rolling by passing a camera around the room—either your own or an inexpensive single-use camera purchased just for the occasion. Have each guest photograph someone else—someone he or she came with or someone standing nearby. Check around to make sure no one is overlooked (don’t forget yourself!). As an alternative, take the photos yourself. That way you’ll be sure everyone is included.
When you take the film in for processing, ask your photo dealer to scan the images into a computer and build a compilation of all the shots into one scene. This is called a "photomontage." Have enough copies of the montage made to give to each guest. For a few dollars more, you can have each montage matted and framed. Your photo dealer can help.
Finally, present each guest with your unique poster party favor. Don’t forget that this technique can be applied to other events, as well. A photomontage makes a great wedding present, a special gift to that young grad, or a dramatic birth announcement.
